Accessibility
A shop everyone can use.
We build to WCAG 2.2 AA and test with real assistive-technology users every quarter. This is a work in progress — please tell us where we fall short.
Visual
AA contrast on every text surface. Scalable up to 200% without loss.
Keyboard
Every action reachable via keyboard, with visible focus rings throughout.
Screen readers
Semantic HTML, live regions for cart updates, and captioned videos.
Motor
Tap targets over 44px, no essential drag-only interactions.
Our standard
grapekid.com is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We audit twice a year with an independent partner and after every major release.
What we do
- Colour contrast ratios of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text.
- Keyboard-navigable menus, filters, and cart flows — no traps.
- Descriptive alt text on all product photography.
- Form errors announced to screen readers with inline guidance.
- Motion-safe: honours
prefers-reduced-motion.
Known gaps
- Two product-configurator flows still rely on drag interactions — keyboard equivalents ship this quarter.
- A handful of legacy blog videos are missing captions; we're working through them.
